➡️How to put on, use, and wash a mask?
  1. Before putting on the mask, wash your hands with alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water.
  2. Cover your mouth and nose with the mask and make sure there are no gaps between your face and your mask.
  3. When wearing the mask, avoid touching it with your hands. If you do need to touch the mask, wash your hands first.
  4. Wash your hands before and after wearing the mask. Also wash the mask regularly, at 60°C.
Please ensure the mask has been appropriately washed and disinfected before use.

A ‘fabric/cloth’ face mask (non-medical mask) for the general public is only part of a broader solution to curb the spread of COVID-19 and it must always be used in combination with other recommended precautionary measures, such as handwashing, not touching one’s face, coughing or sneezing into a tissue or elbow and keeping a proper social distance of 1,5m from other people.
Children should be supervised at all times when using a cloth mask, and they are not recommended for infants who may struggle to breathe with a mask or even choke if they put parts in their mouths.

WeAllShareRoots supports SKKA, a Public Benefit Organisation in Lavender Hill / SeaWinds. This amazing association is driven by the leader of our seamstresses, Heather Adonis. She dedicates all her time to create an environment that gives an opportunity to children and parents on the Cape Flats to be taught, nurtured and trained in a stream of possibilities and expose them to a different way of thinking about themselves and their skills/abilities. During the lockdown, SKKA has fed many children and adults in great need. WeAllShareRoots has supported their feed schemes by donating 5% of all online sales and now provide them with the donated masks.

Our masks are all produced in the Cape Town area (South Africa), in partnership with women from townships, small businesses, and networks of craftsmen.

Caring for your handbag
-> LEKKER and YEBO bags
Suede pig leather, like all leathers, is delicate and requires particular care.
To remove dust from your leather, use a soft brush or a suede brush. You should always scrub gently in the same direction.
In order to avoid stains and protect the leather, use a suede spray and make it water resistant with a special aerosol. Be aware, it is possible that by waterproofing it, your leather will darken slightly.
Do not use washing lotions on this type of leather.
If you have stains which won’t go away, we recommend you use an absorbent clay-based stain remover.
If you stain the fabric, you can gently scrub it using a sponge and soapy water. Ensure that you don’t dampen the leather.
Due to the genuine leather straps, you should not wash the bag in the washing machine.
If you stain the fabric, you can gently scrub it using a sponge and soapy water. Prolonged contact with water could eliminate the shweshwe’s starched (rigid) features.
If you wish to iron the fabric, remember to iron from the underside so as to avoid spoiling the colours with the heat.
For the handles, you can use a traditional detergent suitable for real calfskin leather.
To keep your Piñatex®-based product in top condition, we recommend to not bleach it as well as do not dry clean, iron, or trumble dry.
Hand wash with soft and dampened cloth is recommended to clean the Piñatex® piece.
If you stain the fabric part, you can gently scrub it using a sponge and soapy water.
