Gurmuki Footwear

Gurmuki™ is more than a collection of beautiful products;  it is also a way of life that represents Appreciation of Quality, a Love of Individualism and a Respect for mother earth and her resources.

Wearing our products we want to bring people closer to their Authentic native Selves;  to remind them of the sanctity of life and to live in harmony with nature and each other.  This is one of the reasons why Gurmuki is so popular and why our products are so loved.  More and more, the trend is moving away from mass consumerism and people are starting to appreciate things made with love and they are buying more consciously.

All of our raw materials are sourced in Cape Town, South Africa and handmade by skilled craftsmen with years of experience in the footwear industry.  Most of our beloved staff grew up making shoes from childhood, trained by their fathers and grandfathers.

Our products are made from 100% leather and the winter Tribal boots have a luxurious inner lining of sheep’s wool.  Everything is 100% Handmade.  Our soles are made of a very durable TR Rubber for flexibility and outdoor activity.

Apart from the quality and coolness of Gurmuki’s however, The best thing about our products, is its uniqueness and what it actually represents – a lifestyle of appreciation of quality not quantity!

To us,  Gurmuki™ is about Having a Reverence for Life by respecting our planet; enjoying quality living and promoting Community Development in South Africa.

The Economics of Happiness is inevitably Localization!!
