What is the true definition of a Great Dane?
"A friendly, slobbery, sensitive, loving dog that likes to lean on you."
If you have ever been owned by a Great Dane, you would know that they are practically the biggest bodies with the smallest hearts. All they want is to be near you and to be loved.
So what does Great Dane Rescue South Africa aim to do? Well, in a perfect world that would be to save all the homeless and neglected Great Danes in South Africa. However, we do not live in a perfect world and unfortunately there are many evil people out there who want to make a quick buck by breeding with Great Danes. Every year the numbers increase, more and more Great Danes are dumped where ever people feel fit.
This might sound like a mammoth task and in fact, it is, but the team at GDRSA is dedicated to this worthy cause.
We will keep on fighting the daily battle for these gentle giants.
We cannot do it alone though. We can't rescue without your help. With adoption fees, donations and our online shop income, we try to pay for the rehoming, medical expenses, food and other basic supplies for over 400 Great Danes that we rescue each year. Our vet expenses are past the R200 000.00 mark for 2017.

Our policy lasts14 days. If 14 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, as well as our first aid boxes.

Second hand books
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
If you would like to return your purchase, please send us a message at email@example.com. We will supply you with a physical address whereto the goods must be returned.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable)
Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
Any item that is returned more than 14 days after delivery
Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. It may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.
Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at email@example.com.
Please indicate clearly if you are purchasing a gift for someone.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
If you are shipping an item over R500, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
