CASTIM is a small business based in Makhanda [Grahamstown] in the Eastern Cape. A play on the word ‘custom’ - and a combination of the names of its founders, couple Cas and Tim – CASTIM produces bespoke wooden homeware items and small gifts. They also take orders for custom furniture pieces.

With their respective skills in fine art printmaking and woodworking, Cas and Tim are passionate about craftsmanship and design, innovation, sustainability, and supporting local trade.  As such, their handcrafted products make use of either reclaimed timber or timbers that are responsibly and locally sourced, and all products are produced with the local economy, functionality, and longevity in mind.

Please note that each item that we make is unique in that each piece of timber selected possesses its own intrinsic characteristics and qualities. Although we do our best to ensure that our photos provide an accurate representation of our products, please also note that colours may vary across different devices.
