Painting under her maiden name of Murray, Michelle James is a full time artist living in White River, South Africa. Self-taught, her art is a simple and crisp interpretation of nature in semi -abstract decorative and functional pieces of art.

She draws her inspiration from the wildlife and beautiful indigenous trees of the Lowveld where she lives. Her signature works are mixed media paintings of delicate white trees, working mainly in colours trending on the interior decor palette. She also has a gifting range that consists of her designs on coffee mugs, linen serviettes, coaster, trays, aprons and wall clocks.
