I am a Cape Town based jewellery designer producing my own line of handmade jewellery under the label "emma anne".

I try to design jewellery that is not only unique and intriguing, but that also pushes the boundaries of traditional jewellery. I do this by using metals in different ways to create jewellery that is fresh and exciting.

In my signature collection, I have drawn inspiration from the art of origami, loosely translating the skill of paper folding into my design. By creating a few simple folds in metal and repeating these in various patterns, I am able to achieve an array of simple yet effective pieces with a structured, geometric feel.

All of my jewellery is handmade and crafted with exact care and attention to detail so that pieces are not only beautiful but also individualist and innovative. Silver is the predominant material used in my ready to wear ranges. I also like to add bursts of bright colour to some of jewellery using semi-precious stones and coloured resin.
