Aaron Kearney was born in Northern Ireland in 1984. He has been involved with art and design from a very young age. Influenced greatly by a grandfather who had intuative workshop skills and ideas, he became drawn towards woodwork and the world of design.

After attaining 99% in Art & Design in his penultimate year of secondary school, he improved to 100% in his final year and was awarded the ‘Sinclair Memorial Prize’.

He went on to complete his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree from Central Saint Martins in London and gravitated towards the workshop and away from the computer suites with every weekly project. This practical experience has served him well in his current role as product designer, nurturing each piece from the embryonic stage on paper to the finished product in 3D.

Now 28, Aaron lives and works in Cape Town and continues to produce bespoke pieces for others to consider, absorb and enjoy. He has exhibited in Ireland, England, and South Africa, most recently for at the 2012 Design Indaba Expo at the CTICC in Cape Town.
